Dr Brahman joined Yarra Junction in 2020. He started his medical career as an Orthopaedic surgeon working both in the UK and Australia. He then spent 12 years working in Hospital Emergency Departments, which he still does one day per week. Over the last four years, he has been working as a General Practitioner. His special interests are skin surgical procedures and orthopaedic procedures. He speaks five languages including English, Russian, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam.
DR GAMINI COLOMBAGE
Dr Colombage has been looking after the people of the Upper Yarra since starting at the clinic in 2005. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. When not working, he enjoys gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
DR BIN SHI
Dr Bin Shi is one of the clinic’s most experienced GP’s. His working area mainly covers chronic diseases, geriatric health, children’s health and women’s health. Dr Bin Shi has a considerable amount of knowledge on small procedures as he has a surgical background in China. Dr Bin also speaks fluent English and Mandarin.
DR KUMARA JAYASINGHE
Dr Jayasinghe has been working in Acute Medicine for many years and brings his knowledge and experience to Yarra Junction. He loves listening to music and enjoys golf, tennis, cricket, hiking and travel. What he enjoys most is looking after his patients. His areas of interest include Geriatric Health and General Family Medicine. Dr Kumara also speaks fluent English and Sinhalese.

DR MANJULA RATHNABHARATIE
Dr Manjula Luxapathy Rathnabharathie graduated from University in Sri Lanka in 2003. She then moved to Australia in 2015. Dr Manjula has a keen interest in Womens Health and Paediatrics. In Dr Manjula’s spare time, you will be sure to find her cooking desserts or playing with her beloved pet cats. Dr Manjula speaks two languages, English and Sinhalese.
DR CHANDANA GANGODAGAMA
Dr Chandana Gangodagama has over 12 years of GP experience. Over his time in the Yarra Valley he has produced a loyal patient caseload. Dr Chandana likes the face-to-face communication, which he believes builds the relationships between patients and himself. He has a keen interest in Men’s Health and General Family Medicine. Dr Chandada can speak both English and Sinhalese.
DR JAYAKUMAR VELAUTHEN
Dr Jay graduated from Sri Lanka and has a long period of experience in General Practice. He moved to Australia in 2019. Dr Jay is interested in all fields of General Practice, with a particular focus on pediatrics. He believes that the essence of a good general practitioner lies in being a good listener and providing patients with the information they need to make informed choices about their health. Dr Jay speaks three languages: English, Sinhalese, and Tamil.
